The set of objects is an experiment with glass and basalt fabric and their atypical processing.  Both are usualy used as a material for protective clothing designed for extremely high temperatures or as an insulating material.

Glass textile is still glass although in the form of micro-fiber cloth. My „industrial“ project is based on that fact and it is processing industrially produced fibres and textiles which are transformed to glass or to raw basalt by remelting. It is a bit of a paradox that the fibres are mainly used in high temperature premises but I melt them and try to get rid of this specifical attribute.

Linking those two fibers creates visually interesting objects which are hardly predictable – especially how the fabrics react and what the result is going to be like.
